I first encountered Dr. Lior after having a horrible experience at another dentist near my new house. So I decided to go back to Restoration Dental in Brookhaven because I had had a great experience there in the past. And in walks Dr. Lior. He was friendly, easy on the eyes and very compassionate after hearing my harrowing experience. He said I didn\'t have a second cavity and fixed the first one the dentist had botched free of charge. Now I drive from East Point Georgia at the ass-crack of dawn to see him for all my dental needs. Why anyone opens at 7am is beyond me, but I\'m not a morning person.
We are excited to welcome Dr. Raphael Lior to Restoration Dental. Dr. Lior attended the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering. Following his engineering degree, he worked in a 500-fortune aerospace company and led a team of engineers on commercial and military Turbine Jet Engine projects. During that time he was awarded six patents and multiple awards for excellence. But in the back of his mind, he had a dream to become a dentist.
“My best friend and roommate in college is a seasoned dentist. After a meaningful visit to his private practice, I witnessed a patient’s transformation that reminded me of my close friend back home who suffered trauma. Right then and there, I found my true calling. Being a dentist is a huge privilege. People place their trust in us to do the right thing and maintain their oral health. Dr. Lior left his growing engineering career and eared his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) at Midwestern University at Arizona, where he received numerous awards and recognitions for his interpersonal skills, hand skills and digital dentistry skills.
At Restoration Dental, Dr. Lior provides all aspects of General Dentistry – including Family Dentistry, Dental Implant Placement & Restoration, Tooth Colored Fillings, Porcelain Crowns & Bridges, Tooth Extraction, Root Canals, Cosmetic Dentistry, and more.

Dr. Raphael Lior was born and raised in Israel and is fluent in English and Hebrew. Outside the office, Dr. Lior enjoys spending quality time with his family and friends. He loves to travel to new countries and learn about their culture and try new coffee shops.
